Cheering Practice will end at 5pm this evening, instead of 5:30pm. Practice will go from 4-5pm this afternoon.
Astronomy Night returns to Glenburn School on Wednesday, November 16 (rain date November 17)! From 5:30 PM to 7 PM, join instructors from the Glenburn School, Challenger Learning Center and the University of Maine's Versant Power Astronomy Center and Jordan Planetarium on a tour of the night sky. There will be fun activities, guided tours of the seasonal constellations, and several telescope stations for viewing various sky objects. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars to share in the nighttime fun. We hope to see you there!
The middle school hosted a Town Hall meeting with all three Glenburn State Representative candidates: Abbie Griffin, Frank Roma and Joshua Pietrowicz. Student-generated questions were asked such as: Are you friends outside of the campaign? What would being a representative mean to you? How do you prepare to speak in front of big audiences? and more! This was a great opportunity for our students to experience the process of running for office.

Attention parents of children ages 6-18!
The Telling Room, a literary arts education organization in Maine has opened submissions for a Statewide writing contest. Youth youth ages 6 – 18 can submit writing samples in all forms of creative and personal writing – the theme is open.
The grand prize winner will receive a $250 Award and will be published in The Telling Room’s Annual Anthology.
Submissions close on November 30, 2022.

Glenburn School participated in a PRACTICE lockdown at 10:08am today. The first responders helped with this DRILL and gave our students and staff a big thumbs up with the manner in which they participated and followed protocol. Well done Glenburn School!

Due to no refs, the boys and girls soccer games have been rescheduled again. Boys soccer team will now play Orrington at the Center Drive School in Orrington. Game will be on Thursday 10/20/22 at 3:15pm.
Girls soccer team will be also playing on Thursday 10/20/22 but at 3:00pm. Girls will be playing Holbrook at the Holbrook School in Holden.
