Due to multiple roads with hazards (power lines, trees, wash outs) the Glenburn School will be closed today. Road crews indicate multiple dangerous situations related to power lines and transformers down and across roadways. Please be careful if you have to be on the roads. The Glenburn School will be closed today 12/19/2023.
Due to significant concerns related to early morning travel the Glenburn School will have a two hour delay on Tuesday, December 19th. We will be in contact with the Glenburn Public Works, Versant Power, and community leaders early Tuesday morning and make adjustments as needed. We hope the early notice is helpful as you plan for what tomorrow will bring.
A two hour delay indicated that all morning happenings will be two hours later than normal.
Bus pick up will happen two hours later than the usual pick up time
Start of parent drop off will move from 7:45 to 9:45
Homeroom start time will move from 8:00 to 10:00
Student tardiness will move from 8:15 to 10:15
Lunch , recess and dismissal time will remain as normally scheduled
The Glenburn School wants to extend appreciation for all community members who assisted in getting students home safely in this strange early winter windstorm. The road closures and power interruptions made it tricky navigating our roads today,. Our parents, the town road crews, school staff, and Cyr Bus remained flexible and I'm happy to report that our last bus student was dropped off safely just before 4:15.

Afternoon Transportation issues 12/18/2023
Due to multiple road closures todays afternoon bus transportation will likely be severely delayed or not able to access some routes at all. If you are able to pick your child(ren) up this afternoon you may want to do that. Road closures and openings are changing frequently so clear timelines are difficult to determine. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this challenging weather.
